We are currently living in a world of constant change, and the same can be said about the construction industry. Construction is booming, and in high demand even in our current times. Right now there is an even greater need to be innovative and respond to the fast pace of change and demand. Construction projects are not inherently complex. However, the challenges encountered during execution and adoption are complex. Due to that, there is an increased need for enhanced communication, process visibility, and adaptability to emerging issues.

Time and battle tested lean manufacturing principles have been a staple of the manufacturing industry for years, so significantly that productivity-starved construction companies have been borrowing them for the last several decades. But as to “Agile and Scrum,” those are relatively new terms and approaches in the construction industry. Over the last five years, many construction companies have been looking for ways to adopt Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
